The ability to read effectively does not necessitate knowledge of letter names, whereas solely knowing letter names does not facilitate phonetic reading. Given the familiarity of the ABC song both at home and in educational settings, children typically possess adequate letter naming skills. Nevertheless, explicit instruction on letter sounds is often overlooked. This app aims to bridge that gap and assist children in acquiring a robust understanding of letter sounds.

This app employs only lowercase letters, which research suggests is the most efficient method for teaching children letters as 95% of printed words consist of lowercase characters.

The included games are thoughtfully designed for independent play once basic instructions have been provided. The app features built-in feedback mechanisms to help children work autonomously, allowing them to learn at their own pace and in their preferred style.

Some images may appear challenging to decipher, but rest assured that touching these images will always trigger an audio file announcing their name. Consequently, the child does not need to pre-identify the images. Simply tapping on the image box will consistently prompt the corresponding audio playback.
